Every buyer becomes a promoter

Abstract dark network with red glowing connected nodes

The traditional promoter model requires manual onboarding. You find someone willing to promote, create a code for them, explain the deal, track their sales, and pay them out at 4 AM via Venmo. We automated the entire pipeline into a single trigger: buy a ticket, receive an affiliate link.

How it works

Every ticket buyer automatically gets a personalized referral link paying $11.11 per sale. No application. No onboarding call. No manual code creation. The moment someone buys a ticket, they become a potential promoter with a financial incentive to bring friends.

The previous model paid $3-5 commission and required manual setup for each promoter. The new model more than doubles the incentive and removes all onboarding labor. It went from a managed program to a self-running system overnight.

The Posh kickback system

Through Posh’s built-in kickback system, we set the commission per ticket equal to the ticket price. Sell one ticket, your entry cost is covered. Sell two or more, it is pure profit. Promoters see their real-time earnings in the app. Automated. Transparent. No more 4 AM Venmo negotiations.

The hybrid pitch hooks two different types of people. Casual promoters who just want free entry need to sell one ticket. Hustlers who want profit keep selling at $11.11 per sale with no cap. Both segments are served by the same system without any customization.

Why it is not “giving away tickets”

The commission only triggers when a sale is made. You are not giving away revenue. You are sharing revenue from a sale that would not have happened without the promoter’s effort. The person they brought is in the room spending $30-50 at the bar. You are converting ticket revenue into bar revenue, not giving away free tickets.

The economics are clear: a promoter earns $11.11 from a $25 ticket sale. The remaining $13.89 covers your costs. The person in the room spends $30-plus at the bar. Net positive on every single transaction, with zero manual effort to generate it.

The vision at platform scale

We explored auto-creating every ticket buyer as an affiliate on purchase. The technical path: event tickets through WooCommerce plus AffiliateWP, with an auto-affiliate snippet on the checkout hook. Each ticket tier can have different commission rates. Comp and guest list tickets get a 0% rate. The system excludes the people who should not earn commission and includes everyone else by default.

At scale, this means every person who has ever bought a SLIST ticket has a permanent referral link. The network effect compounds: each new buyer adds another node to the distribution network. Traditional promoter programs cap at however many people you can manually onboard. This system caps at however many tickets you sell.

The entire promo system is designed to make every person in the community a stakeholder. Nobody is just a passive attendee. You are either a DJ earning commission, a promoter with a code, a guest list member who shared a flyer, or a ticket buyer with an auto-generated affiliate link. Everyone has skin in the game. That is what makes it work.
