SLIST, for it’s first two years, before any events, was literally just a shitpost blog and a bunch of public WhatsApp groups. Unlike most rave communities, our’s was born online, anonymous, with nothing to tie us together besides our shared tastes.
The thing I love about the SLIST community more than any other is that our members have the ultimate sense of mutual tolerance for one another regardless of our personal differences. It’s the only community where I feel comfortable sharing my hot takes, my ignorance, and also my worst thoughts.
The anarchist in me loves to see others reveal their own brand of toxicity, their darkest jokes, their late night crash outs, and all the ways they might not be able to express themselves in more commercial communities.
In the end, many of us meet up IRL, after cringing online, for our shared love for dark music, dark art, and dark culture.
If the world could be more like SLIST we could have world peace.
