Too much democracy is a problem.
Had a business partner who introduced voting structures. Brought on team members without my approval. Created a whole democratic process designed to slowly dilute the person who built everything from scratch. It felt like I was getting forced out of my own business.
Luckily, no contracts. I controlled all the digital infrastructure — socials, email, domains, ticketing. The “democracy” evaporated overnight.
Transparent dictatorship is the only management style that works at this stage. 10 for the wolf. 3 for the shepherd. 1 for the sheep. The founder takes the most because the founder risks the most. I prefer my plans solo.
Post-split staff model: interns aged 19-22. Cheaper. More controllable. Less threat of a power grab. Always biz first, friends last.
