SLIST Data Manifesto – The Short Version
We collect what you share, what you click, and what you vibe with — online and on the dance floor. We use it to run SLIST, improve the experience, and create new things. That includes events, music, merch, art, tech, and whatever future weirdness we dream up.
We may share your data with trusted partners, event collaborators, and platforms that help us operate, advertise, and grow. We might also use it to train AI, power cultural projects, or fuel ideas that don’t exist yet.
We protect your info, but no system is unhackable. If that’s a deal-breaker, we understand.

We build culture from data — your clicks, your preferences, your presence on the dance floor.
By using SLIST — online or in person — you give us permission to collect, use, and share your information for any lawful purpose, anywhere in the world.
This document explains exactly how.
1. What We Collect
We collect any information you give us, send us, or generate by interacting with SLIST, including but not limited to:
- Contact details: name, email, phone, address, usernames.
- Purchase/payment info: billing address, payment details (processed securely via WooCommerce/Stripe).
- Account details: logins, preferences, music/event interests.
- Device & activity: IP, browser, OS, device type, location (approximate or precise), pages viewed, clicks, time spent.
- Media interactions: tracks you play, mixes you like, content you view.
- Conversations: emails, texts, DMs, comments, submissions.
We also receive data from partners, ad networks, analytics tools, and public sources.

- By providing your mobile number on our site, at events, or via keyword opt-in (e.g. texting “NYC” to our number), you consent to receive SMS communications from SLIST, including event reminders, ticket updates, and promotional offers.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
- We record the date, time, and method of your opt-in for compliance purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
By engaging with SLIST, you allow us to use your data for any purpose permitted by law, including:
- Running and improving our sites, events, and operations
- Marketing, advertising, and sponsorship deals (including targeted ads)
- Building AI tools, algorithms, and cultural archives
- Creating, training, and refining digital products and experiences
- Selling or licensing anonymized or aggregated data sets
- Partnering with brands, venues, and other cultural projects
- Research, analytics, and commercial exploitation of any kind
We may combine your data with other sources to build profiles, predict interests, and guide creative direction.
4. Sharing Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers, vendors, and affiliates
- Event partners, sponsors, and collaborators
- Ad networks, analytics platforms, and marketing partners
- Third parties acquiring part or all of SLIST (through merger, sale, etc.)
- Any other entity when required by law or to protect our rights and community
We may share data in identifiable, anonymized, or aggregated form.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies, pixels, beacons, and similar tech to:
- Keep the site running
- Track usage and preferences
- Measure marketing performance
- Serve ads and recommendations
- Link your activity across devices and services
Some cookies are ours; others belong to partners like Google Analytics, WooCommerce, and ad networks.

6. Social Logins
If you log in through Facebook, X, or others, we get profile info (name, email, avatar, etc.) and may merge it with your SLIST profile for any lawful use.
7. Data Retention
We keep data as long as we need it — or as long as the law allows — and delete or anonymize it when it’s no longer useful.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is bulletproof. Use SLIST at your own risk.
9. Minors
SLIST is for 18+. If we find data from minors, we delete it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your data
- Opt out of targeted ads or “sharing”
- Withdraw consent (where required)
- Request portability of your data

11. Global Compliance Notes
- EU/UK (GDPR): We rely on consent, contract, legal obligation, and legitimate interest as legal bases. Some uses require opt-in (marketing, non-essential cookies).
- US (CCPA/CPRA & others): We disclose categories collected and allow opt-out of “sale”/“sharing.”
- Mexico (LFPDPPP): You can exercise ARCO rights — Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition — via our contact details.
12. Do-Not-Track
We don’t respond to DNT signals at this time.
13. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted here.
