Born in Mexico City, Mayte grew up immersed in the vibrant sounds of industrial underground music and urban latin beats, all of which laid the foundation for her love of deep electronic music. From a young age, she was captivated by music’s ability to unite people, a passion she discovered while touring with international rock bands. Mayte plays mixes tailored to the crowd—a combination of energetic and vibrant, globally inspired electronic music. Her sets are rooted in genres like organic house, afro house and techno, often infused with tribal rhythms, soulful vocals, and spiritual textures. Now based in New York City, Mayte is known for her unique fusion of Afro/Tribal and Electronic Drum-base sets, she has created a signature sound that pulses with deep synth rhythms, energetic melodic beats, and vibrant drum-inspired elements. Her mixing and ability to read a crowd have earned her a loyal following. Mayte has earned residencies at some of NYC’s top nightclubs and appeared at major festivals playing along side international artist such as Oliver Koletzki, Sebastian Ledger, Joeski, Chus, Mayan Warrior’s -Rebodello & Dramian, Walshy Fire + More.
